Podcasting

Although we're unlikely to make it into iTunes top 100 (!), we've started to post some audio tracks onto our "Blogcast" site and iTunes (Mike - thanks for the idea). The thought is that it might help the suppliers and charities we work with to promote themselves by talking about their own businesses/causes, as well as to pass on useful tips from them. We will be linking the tracks here from appropriate points on our main website. Let me know if you think the idea might be helpful, and if so whether there are any topics relevant to us you would particularly like to see covered.

This is a great idea Nick - one that many others could use and benefit from.
  • Thanks ! I think it works very well to quickly establish a rapport between a potential customer / client and the retailer / supplier. It was easy to do using standard podcasting kit ; the software I have is Audacity (free), and I use Podbean to host the broadcasts (basic free option, but cheap if you want to pay, anyway). It is pretty straightforward to set up a feed to iTunes, which I do too, which has advantages. Oh - and I forgot - the mike was the most expensive thing but dead easy to use - plug and play - bought through Soundslive.co.uk.
