Further Council cuts will severely damage many parks says the Parks Alliance.

“Yesterday’s announcement of further Council cuts will severely damage the quality of public parks across England and Wales” says Mark Camley, Chair of The Parks Alliance, the national voice of UK parks.

“We must protect the public parks at the heart of our life and culture. These cuts put at risk a crucial  part of our social and physical infrastructure that are used day-in, day-out bringing huge health, social and environmental benefits.”

Full details of today’s announcement are set out on the BBC website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-30524122
