First of all, a big thankyou to all of the LJN members who have been visiting the My Garden Design website and registering as trade users - it's great to "meet" you and if you ever have any questions about our online garden design platform, please just ask. This is such a new concept that it's bound to set you all thinking.
This week I want to take some of the worry out of using online garden design.
- The website is very user friendly - if you can place an order on Amazon or post pictures to Facebook you'll find this is a doddle
- Pricing is 100% transparent. Use the website to get an instant quote for the design, based on the dimensions of the garden. That is the price you'll pay. Plus, it's priced so that there's room for you to add your own admin fee.
- You don't need to understand design software - that's our job. All you need to do is gather and upload the information that our designers need.
- All of our garden designers are professionally trained and have at least 5 years experience. Add into the mix that each design with be double checked by Paul Baker (himself an experienced landscaper) to make sure it is buildable - you don't need to worry about the quality of the design.
- Your client is your client. We won't contact them at all (unless you specifically ask us to), neither will we influence the project management, the choice of materials or any other aspect of the work. We do the design. That's all.
- Nobody need know that you have outsourced the design service (unless you want them too). Any documents that you show to your client will carry your own logo and contact details. We stay completely anonymous.
- Uploading a project doesn't oblige you to commission a design. Feel free to use our client questionnaires, handouts etc however you wish.
If you haven't yet tried to upload a project to My Garden Design, it's really easy to do. And there's no charge until you hit the "buy now" button. So why not have a play with the platform? Invent a project so that you can discover just how easy online garden design is.
