The Lantra Awards Level 2 Award in The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control (QCF) Qualification has been developed in conjunction with industry and RAMPS (UK) and on successful completion will provide you with a licence to practice.
From 26 November 2013 if no previous training has been undertaken in The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control you will need to hold the Level 2 Award to be able to purchase, or use Aluminium Phosphide commercially.
Aluminium Phosphide is a dangerous compound which used incorrectly can be hazardous to the health and safety of users, the general public and non target animals, therefore it is essential the product is used by competent users.
The Qualification will assess your ability to work safely minimising environmental damage when using aluminium phosphide complying with current legislation.
Who is it for?
The Level 2 Award in The Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control (QCF) Qualification is aimed at anyone who wishes to control vertebrates using aluminium phosphide in a commercial environment and is suitable for pest control operatives, farmers, gamekeepers and greenkeepers.
This Qualification will appeal to people in agriculture, horticulture, conservation, sports management, and related industries where it is necessary to use aluminium phosphide to control vertebrate pests.
