"With Stihl hedgetrimmer, I ver use the grease "port" in the gearbox cover. ............ always take the cover off and apply the grease to exactly where its needed.   Never used the "genuine" Stihl grease.... costs a fortune for those little tubes. …"

"Best to leave carbs alone unless something is wrong, definitely shouldn't need cleaning under normal circumstances. And use a fuel additive like 'Fuel  Fit' in the winter when machines are laid up for longer periods, it stops any gumming up problems…"
