getting a good team

is it me or is it nigh on impossible to get more than one good team member. Ive employed upto six last year & it only needs one to not pull thier weight & all the pins fall.Having said that i suppose its the same old saying while the cats away.it just me and another now the trouble with that is im working in the business not on the business.

  • I hear you Kev - sharing your pain mate!
  • Yeah I hear you too...trouble if you are looking for a foreman -most often they will be running their own businesses! I have found the best staff LOVE what they are doing, so try and find those....I know it is a rare breed who likes working hard outdoors in all weathers but they exist. Our guys pride themselves on doing an excellent job, and that comes from inside them, not pressure from me. Its the type of people they are. Also relationship building is important...I really care about the guys and they know it, they dont feel 'used' at all- they feel they are an important part of a business which aims to provide excellence and be successful at it. My success is their success and we are all in it together.
