Everris supply products to City Football Academy

Manchester City FC has just entered the second year of a three year sole supplier agreement with Everris, part of the ICL Group.

Years of research and preparation was undertaken to design Manchester City’s training ground, the City Football Academy. In order to achieve the best possible results for the Academy, the Everris technical sales team together with Manchester City grounds staff devised a tailored programme to ensure top performance. The programme relies on a number of fertilizers including Greenmaster granular, Greenmaster Liquid, Sierrablen, SierrablenPlus, ProTurf and Sportsmaster WSF plus Syngenta’s Banner Maxx fungicide, and Primo Maxx plant growth regulator.

Lee Metcalfe, Head Groundsman for Manchester City, said of the products: “We’ve been using the whole range of Everris products, and they’ve been very good for us, but the one that has stood out for me has been the ProTurf.

“We know that we are going to get something from the products. They work and the most important thing to me is that they last. Everris products last for weeks and we always get good results.”

As part of the three year agreement, Lee and his team also benefit from education days where representatives from Everris explain the various and extensive technologies the company applies, why and what they have developed and how that can have an impact at the City Football Academy.

Well one clear advantage they have, they stand up by themselves.…"
