eFIG launch new training series in September

eFIG Ltd, the European Federation if Interior Landscape Groups, is launching a new series of trainings this autumn. “Our aim is to develop skills for all levels in the industry from technicians through sales to management,” explains Jennifer Hattingh, of Gavin Jones Ltd and eFIG committee member responsible for training, “As well as offering accreditation and recognition for skills achieved.”Training is never wasted. In fact the Organisation for Responsible Business suggests that the evidence is overwhelming: a trained, engaged and motivated workforce will result in less absenteeism, reduced staff turnover and more productivity. So the investment in training is a winner all round.eFIG’s trainings will be concentrated in four categories close to the needs of the industry and developing business: Health & Safety, Horticultural Skills, Sales & Marketing and Management. The first session, ‘Presenting with Confidence’ falls into the latter category and takes place on 21st September at the Menzies Strathallan Hotel in Birmingham. The training is tailor-made for the industry and will be presented by James Read of 7 House, a known trainer for eFIG. James is a highly qualified trainer with over seven years experience. His high energy approach and down to earth style create a motivating learning environment for participants. His experience of designing bespoke training programmes together with his process and results driven approach ensures that all training provided is relevant and inspirational. The date coincides with GLEE so if you are in Birmingham buying at this Exhibition, take this opportunity to make the most of your trip. For your diaries:Date: Tuesday 21st SeptemberPlace: Menzies Strathallan Hotel, BirminghamTime: 09.30 – 16.30 inc 2 x coffee breaks and 45 minutes for lunchTitle: Presenting with ConfidenceCost: eFIG Member £140 including coffee/tea and lunchNon member £160 including coffee/tea and lunchThere are a limited number of places (20) which will be allocated on a first come basis. "Plus it doesn't matter if we all know plants are better value. I'd make the point of this to the customer but if they want trough grown at the extra cost that's their choice I'd just do it"

"I've done 5ft Thorne troughs. Very easy to plant just got a mini digger dug the trench then drop them in couldn't be easier however £250 per m does seem expensive. "
