coir bales organic compost

Glad to be back to writing here,back to full time on best4garden, this is second spring for us, more orders are coming and the website ranking better.still lots of work to, adding few more products this year is one of the better jobs:One of them is the coir bale or coco fibre compost. the coco fibre bale is a multi purpose compost- 100% organic- but there is also a version that comes with 'osmocote' feed. I used to use it many projects: where I had roof gardens as it was easier to take into the middle of Tel-aviv huge quantity. But also in lots of planting of trees in containers as it made it easy to move and the plants wee growing faster as it is very airy compost.I also used it once to improve soil condition where we needed just a bit more volume and to improve the sandy soil.but coco compost is great to improve heavy soil too. Have you used it?As it come in a bale that expand In water I sometimes used to leave it under drip irrigation to expand- but here in the uk just leaving it outside for few rainy days is enough or spray with some water that is actually real fun to see it expanding.I remember that I once put 2 bales in a container under a dripper and came the next day- it was so funny as it was just stuck in there and was hard to take it out.At home we used it to top our garden raised bed for vegetable and soon will use some in our potato planter.So that is it for today- lots more to add but enough for this post and... If you want to try it- will get you trade price.

as much as I sell more I find that many people happy to pay more for quality- in fact in many times it helps selling.

I can understand your question as I asked the same one and found that as it is certificated as organic - it worth/cost more- for me I decided to sell it as I know what quality it brings when you think hanging baskets, containers and even soil conditioner. I suppose it is one of the things you need to try to under stand it.

£44.97 for 3 bales - does each bale make 210 lts of compost, or do all three make 210 lts total ?

Good point, perhaps I should make it clear,
each bale can make 65-80 litre volume.

to make this 5 kg bale into 65 litre you just soak with water, If you repeat the process of adding water and ''playing'' with it you will get 80 litre.

As a trade you get a good discount - and so a pallet with 30.00 will be less than £200.00 inc delivery (trade price)
important to say it is Organic- so cost a bit more- Later on may have a version with 'osmocote' inside too.

So £44.97 for a maximum total of 240 lts compost? That's maybe 4 times more than a typical retail multibuy offer for standard multipurpose (peat based) compost. Maybe twice as much as retail peat-free composts. I can't see how you're going to sell any at those prices?
