Christmas Shoping from another point of veiw

It is absolutely amazing, the greatest school for me.First it is amazing that someone like me that spend most of his life in nature, sea, fields and gardens to work in this shops- as the pay is based on commission only- no minimum wage.me fully motivated to learn and to earn.as the commission is low (6%)I try to learn and improve every day, but far more intresting is to see how people take their decision to buy or not.we sell few products ,one of them is a ufo a peace of plastic with lights propeller and remote control that can take it up and down.(cant be interesting for more than few minutes) but it is amazing that if you will fly it near people face and say how incredible it is- it will make them want to buy it. Same with our snow- It comes as a powder that expand with water and make like snow flakes.once you let it expand in some women hands they get excited- some of them -and you explain what a wonderful product it is and give it to them.If i feel that these people cant afford it I dont try to attempt them to the toys- but most of the people in the shops I work (selfridjes and house of fraiser) must have enough money. So, what i am trying to say is that some of us looking for reasons to buy something useful and some will just buy something because they were excited from it.sure to be able to buy/sell there are many other things to do before from liaise, find needs, give solutions, demonstrate and so on.2 other things happened these week:first,I passed all the health check for retain fire fighter- will start a course in january-horraythe second is I had a car accident (nobody harmed) just the cars, as I slipped on an icy road right into another car- I guess it is another part of my learning curve. never derived on ice before.so wish you all the best in the next few weeks till the end of this year.

"Agree with you Graham, we have a client with a long run of Laurel which we only cut once a year mid june and have done for over 20 years, the client is fussy with a capital F ! It's a superb evergreen hedge which is bomb proof.
As to this so called…"

"Disagree there!  I maintain a site with a couple of of large laurel hedges and one cut in July suffices and keeps it looking nice.  Agree.... looks nasty immediately after cutting but quickly perks up so you don't notice the cut leaves.  Pretty much…"

"That's pretty much my thinking, but I am seeing them more and more. Mostly at expensive new builds. Mostly people with very limited gardening experience wanting an immediate finished product. "

"Yes 5' actual instant shaped hedging is very expensive, but if that's what he wants he'll have to pay for it.  A good compromise is use individual plants- you could use 1.5m, but 1.8 or 2m plants would probably be bushier, and by trimming to height…"

"Agree, nothing worse than driving past a new Cherry Laurel hedge planted too close to boundaries or buildings, and thinking they'll regret that decision in a few years time!
If a client really wants Laurel, i atleast try to push them towards the…"
