My ambition is to create beautiful and functional outside spaces of the highest quality, that deliver atmosphere and strength of form in abundance, and that offer connection to the landscape. The approach is often sculptural, and my outside spaces are characterised by a strong sense of line and form which is softened by the use of a mixture of ornamental grasses and perennials. Simplicity, distillation and attention to detail are my guiding principles, and the results are contemporary spaces, often with a bold sense of modernity, but which are always tempered by a sensitivity to context, history and ecology.
