Awrite LJN members. I am 26 from Glasgow and I am setting up my own garden maintenance business in February 2013. I am currently working with the princes trust & business gateway to gain funding and support. I have been aiming for this for the past 3 years. I have since then archived my drivers licence 2 seasons doing maintenance and I have got my city& guilds level 2 in hard landscape garden construction and svq level 3 brick laying. And tips advice or even a general chat is welcome!

Nice to hear a compliment on the website - it still needs a lot of work but if gives the right impression I hope. I designed it myself as I had a little bit of experience but not much! think it shows. Totally understand how daunting it is.
We have advertised through local news where we're the only gardeners but the biggest form of advertising has been through leafleting. We've done this ourselves to keep costs down but have gone for a professional leaflet to emphasize the professionalism of our business. You need to get loads out to get your name out. We use a printing company called saxoprint.com. They're based in Germany and are a lot cheaper but brilliant quality.
