Reading various new articles, I was amazed by the announcment that two of the US's largest landscape businesses merged back in June, but have only just announced their new branding, logo and structure.
Nothing unusual in that you may say, but get these figures;
- The merger creates a new company called BrightView
- It becomes the largest landscaping business in the US (...and possibly the world ?)
- It's current combined turnover is $2Billion pa (..yes TWO billion !)
- Now employs 22,000 members of staff
One can only guess at the cost of the rebranding exercise ....
Who ever said landscaping was not a mainstream business sector, certainly is the US !?!
As a side note, anyone know how we compare in the UK ? I can think of 3 or 4 'large' UK players, but have no figures to hand.
