After the stresses of the last two years, I for one and thinking of ways that I can work smarter from now on - and I'm sure many of my Landscape Juice colleagues are of a similar mindset. Taking care of my mental health - and that of my team - is number one priority. And that means streamlining work so that we none of us feels overwhelmed. It's hard. My landscaping and garden design businesses are known for our attention to detail, our transparency and our high standard of workmanship. I'm definitely not planning on compromising on any of those things. But I have been doing a bit more outsourcing. I've hired a part time bookkeeper who works remotely and is also happy to help out with admin tasks where she can. For a while now, I've been paying a freelancer to keep website content up to date and I've restructured the teams in order to free up some of my time to work on quotes.
What is everyone else planning on implementing this year?
If you want to simplify customer relationships, you could think about bringing garden design in-house. Don't worry, that won't mean that you sit up until 3am to draw layout plans - you can outsource the work and still make a healthy profit.
My Garden Design offers you a quick, efficient and cost effective way to outsource garden design. And the beauty of it is, that you retain 100% control of the customer relationship. How does it work? Well, you, the landscaper, can use our online questionairre to gather all the information needed to create your client's design. You upload it to our website and then our qualified garden designers translate the information into a 2D layout plan which gets emailed back to you within 4 weeks of your order being placed. If you'd like us to, we can also create a 3D render of the design for a moderate fee.
Have a read of this article, it explains exactly how online garden design works. It's much easier than you might think (if you can use Landscape Juice, you'll be able to use this) and of course, we're on hand to help you through the process if you need us to.
