We are Celebrating 25 Years in the Trade

2015 marks twenty five years of trading for Michael Bryant and Country Supplies in the Landscaping Supply industry.

Over the last 25 years Country Supplies has built its reputation and customer base by reliably delivering high quality, consistent products, economically to both site and home. With an unrivalled range and stock holding this has meant it has grown into a true one stop shop for both Landscaping and the Fencing trade alike.

Twenty five years ago, in 1990 Michael left school and joined his brother David in his business, hand packing sacks of Mushroom Compost at his family’s farm just outside of High Wycombe. Through drive, hard work and constantly building relationships with the top manufactures in the UK, the business saw incredible growth.  Over the following years, the site evolved to provide room for fencing, decking and paving products.

In 2008, www.CountrySupplies.uk.com was launched, adding an online presence to Country Supplies already stellar reputation within the industry.

In 2012, a second site opened at Shana, a few miles down the road to provide extra storage for an even wider range of landscape supplies. With the addition of the second site, Country Supplies staff also grew and now boasts dedicated Sales, HR, Accounts and Marketing teams along with a fleet of drivers and yard people with a vast knowledge on all landscaping related issues.

“I have always treated Country Supplies as a family business. In the early days it was me and my brother delivering bags of compost around the area in the back of my old NIssan. Some of the guys I employ have been with me for 20 years and it’s great to be in the position to be able to employ local people. We have a team of about 25 now which is amazing and we are
always looking to expand.”

Country Supplies also do their best to help out in the local community.

“Recently we have been a part of the Speen Festival and made a big contribution to the building of Project Lacey Green”, says Richard Sparkes, Marketing,  “Along with that we sponsor Naphill FC Juniors and are involved with a number of local schools and charitable projects”

The future holds exciting times for the team at Country Supplies with huge announcements coming in the following months, new products, new technology and further business expansion.

“It doesn’t feel like it was 25 years ago that we started. I guess I am a bit older and wiser with a more sensible haircut but I still get excited coming in everyday and seeing how we can improve and grow.”

After constant investment and 25 years of experience, Country Supplies can offer an unparalleled delivery service, expert advice and one of the most extensive product ranges in the UK.
