Transform Your Garden with an Outdoor Room

Sometimes your home is just not enough and you need a little extra space, or you want to enjoy your garden from the warmth of a room, but you can’t. Why not transform your garden by adding a purpose built outdoor room?

The Shed

A shed is not often used as a place for relaxation, and if it is, then it doesn’t serve its purpose very well. Cold and uninspiring, a shed is not meant for any form of inhabitation, simply for storage. Deckchairs, garden tools, the lawnmower, and for potting, the shed is made for keeping things safe and undamaged, and working on projects.

With a bit of work, you can transform your shed into a place to work, to exercise or relax, but it will never be quite as good as something built for that purpose. The shed might be perfect for smaller homes and gardens, but if you’ve got room for it, a purpose built room will always have the advantage.

The Garden Room

The key to a good garden room, like the ones from TG Escapes is knowing what you want. If you think of it as an extension of your home, then the possibilities are endless.

A Gym – if exercise is your passion, then you could install a gym in your back garden. Fill it with equipment or leave it bare for yoga, but think about having a shower and a bathroom installed too to make life easy.

A Pool-House – if you’re lucky enough to have a pool, then a pool house is the next step. Somewhere to change and shower, and somewhere to keep pool maintenance tools and the kids’ toys will be forever useful.

An Office – working from home can be a pain if you’re easily distracted, or if there are lots of noises. A garden room can make working so much easier by removing all of this. It also makes you seem more professional if you were to hold meetings with customers or clients, as well as offering a quieter place to take phone calls.

Collection House – if your collection of books, CDs, DVDs, toys, or whatever it may be, is taking over your home, or your spouse is constantly irritated it, then consider housing it in its very own purpose-built space. A great way to escape everyone else and indulge in your passion, a garden room devoted to whatever it is you love could be the answer you need.
