The arrival of Bunkerfilter™ will come as welcome news to greenkeepers and course managers who face constant battles with problematic bunkers. Heavy rain not only washes bunker sand into drains but it also carries silt and over time this leads to drainage deterioration. In fact, a recent survey revealed that an average of 10kg of silt was deposited per tonne of bunker sand over nine years and this silt combines with sand and water to form a hard compact layer. It can often be very time consuming and expensive to rectify the issue.
