Over the last 5 years we have been very fortunate to receive 12 Marshall's landscaping awards at both regional and national level and it was a privilege to be chosen by Marshalls as the 2012 UK winners of "Best use of Ethically Sourced Fairstone Paving" and included with this title was a trip to India to see the Marshalls range of Fairstone sawn and riven paving being produced

My travel buddy for the trip to Kota in Rajasthan India is another well known Landscape juice forum member and the Marshalls international product manager Chris Frankland

The scale of the operation in India is massive with each of the yards we visited being a hive of activity with a steady flow of lorries bring the large stone blocks from the quarries to be cut into the Marshalls Fairstone sawn paving and with every mode of transportation you can imagine bringing the timber crates for packaging or the Fairstone riven paving from the many riven yards scattered around the Kota area

Photo of the Stoneshipper managers and myself, the hospitality I was received was second to none

It was a fantastic trip Gary and I can't thank Marshalls and Stoneshippers enough for the hospitality I was shown throughout the time I was in India and especially to Chris for putting up with me for the week :-)

The stone production and quarry life in Kota is a real eye opener. Excellent photos too:)
