Landscaper employment opportunity with Kirman Design

Kirman Design is an established multi-award winning garden design and landscaping practice based at Bents Garden & Home, Glazebury, Cheshire (Garden Centre of the Year 2002, 2010 & 2011). Work is varied and is located throughout the Northwest including Cheshire, Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire.

We are looking for a skilled, professional, motivated and enthusiastic Landscaper with experience, and good customer service skills. This person will be able to quantify and price jobs, manage staff and be able to liaise with suppliers and administration staff.

We have a diverse and growing portfolio of varied projects. The job will entail travelling across the northwest to work and consequently applicants should hold a full UK driving license.
We are able to offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience. We offer opportunities to strengthen or learn new skills.

Salary: Negotiable
Hours of work: 40hrs pw. Includes weekends and bank holidays (negotiable)
Contract type: 6 months trail / Permanent
Expected date of commencement: Position available
Location of workplace: Across the Northwest.

Key skills required
• All aspects of landscaping works including: Paving, block paving, drainage, water features, decking, pergolas and wooden structures, fencing, brick and block work, turfing, seeding hedging and planting.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service.
• Professionalism.
• Good organisational skills.
• Positive can do/will do attitude with a proactive approach.
• Project specification, costing and management skills.
• IT Literate (MS Outlook and Excel).
• Planning.
• Completion of administrational work to deadlines.
• Ability to work with machinery including diggers, dumpers etc.

Main purpose of the Role
To build gardens and other landscaping projects designed by Kirman Design. Also to provide an occasional garden/landscaping maintenance service as required.

• Ensuring landscaping work is completed to specification, high standard and to budget.
• Any staff on site.
• Health and safety on site.

Consulting with (Daily basis)
• Clients
• Other professional trades on site
• Office staff
