Industry shows support for SALTEX 2016

Following the success of last year’s exhibition, more than 70 per cent of SALTEX 2015 exhibitors have already re-booked for the 2016 event - which will be held at the NEC, Birmingham on 2-3 November.

Firmly established as the UK’s leading turf management event, SALTEX 2015’s show floor was packed with more than 8,700 unique visitors looking to see the latest innovations and purchase products or services to enhance their turf care operations.

Feedback from last year’s event confirmed that many of the exhibitors were delighted with the quality of attendees, the high level of engagement, and quantity of new business leads– prompting many to rebook for SALTEX 2016; while brand new exhibitors are already booking stands.

Roger Moore, sales and marketing manager for Dennis and SISIS – who occupied the largest stand space at SALTEX 2015, believes it is essential that the two companies have a presence at this year’s event: “SALTEX is the shop window for the turf care industry and the 2015 show was testament to this. I was really impressed with the number and quality of visitors – which led to a good level of enquiries for our products.”

Jasmine Kirkby, sales co-ordinator for Aspen Fuels, believes that SALTEX offers the perfect opportunity for the company keep up-to-date on industry trends: “We enjoyed speaking to many existing and potential new customers at last year’s event. This show offers a fantastic opportunity to better understand how the education of modern day fuels is changing the mind-set of machinery users and we have already signed up to take part in SALTEX 2016.”

Amy Rouse from Phil Day Sports, a leading sports turf contractor, said: “After attending last year’s show and witnessing its success at its new location at the NEC Birmingham, we have decided to take the opportunity to showcase this year, with the aim of developing current and new business links and opportunities.”

As well as the quality of exhibitors from all sectors of the turf care industry, SALTEX offers exceptional show content for visitors – including Ask the Expert, free turf care advice from the Institute of Groundsmanship’s (IOG) regional pitch advisors; career advice at the Young Groundsmen’s Conference, and 1,655 minutes of free seminars within the LEARNING LIVE education programme. It has already been confirmed that SALTEX 2016 will again include these key features, as well as the IOG’s prestigious and hugely popular annual Industry Awards dinner, and SALTEX event director Matthew Knight revealed that the show organisers won’t be resting on their laurels.

“It’s been great to see so many 2015 exhibitors re-book for SALTEX this year – I believe that proves just how successful the event was. This industry is full of passionate people who truly love what they do and they deserve to have a trade show that helps put the industry on the map – both nationally and beyond.

“SALTEX’s potential is absolutely massive; last year the show attracted a number of international visitors from 45 countries – which shows that the exhibition is really starting to gain a global reputation.

“It is our job to bring the exhibition into the 21st century and we are confident that we can take SALTEX to the next level. In fact we are already looking at new and exciting features which could improve the show even further – so watch this space!”
