Big wow! coming back from the PRESS EVENT 2011.

I worked so hard for that, and really enjoyed it!

It is very important to know how to exhibit! you read about a show a visitor number from last years and we all get excited, but the results are really up to what you do there, before and after!

I decided to launch this year 10 new products! with a promotion for every month.

I asked the writer helen gazeley , to help me with editing info on each product and add few I added a images from customers and amazing sketches for new products that David Beasley helped me with ( thank you)

and customers review and videos.  All of that was in a cd that wad duplicated and had graphics on.

(about £120.00 for 200 cds inc cd shell pack)

before the show I tried to contact editors and journalist and invite them to visit me at the show, I searched google for 2 days. As many celebrities are working for the press media, really hard to find contact details of them.  I tried to send email offering my cd with all information on.

I also printed 2 hard copies   to show the info at the show- it was a very good idea of Helen, that actually opened  many people intrest once they read the customers review and saw images of what can do with the new products.

Getting there

Cutting samples, preparing all , loading the car and getting ready, as the week was busy with orders too, I was exhausted  and went to bed at 11:00 pm the night before. I left at 3:00 down to London in my loaded car full of excitement could not feel tired at all.

I had a friend to help me, there, Luckily.  You see there many famous faces, for years watching them from israel, reading British gardening magazines.

I was speaking with many people, journalist, editors of all sizes of magazins, gardening writers for biggest daily news papers were there. People for TV, and Radio and so on. The cd was a briliant ice breaker, as I just gave it first and than , of course we could chat on the products.

The bad thing was that I did not have huge poster with brilliant attractive image on, as some other had and I could see how many visitors were attracted for that.

The response seemed very good, and I hope to see good results... Had a long drive back home to shropshire  on that day and I slept well!as you can imagine.

"Plus it doesn't matter if we all know plants are better value. I'd make the point of this to the customer but if they want trough grown at the extra cost that's their choice I'd just do it"

"I've done 5ft Thorne troughs. Very easy to plant just got a mini digger dug the trench then drop them in couldn't be easier however £250 per m does seem expensive. "

Thought I'd sign up to this forum. And I hope I'm allowed to post stuff for sale on here as this will be a one off? I have for sale a tiny pro robot, it's not the new edition but it's the bigger one of the two. If anyone is interested then please…

"Agree with you Graham, we have a client with a long run of Laurel which we only cut once a year mid june and have done for over 20 years, the client is fussy with a capital F ! It's a superb evergreen hedge which is bomb proof.
As to this so called…"

"Disagree there!  I maintain a site with a couple of of large laurel hedges and one cut in July suffices and keeps it looking nice.  Agree.... looks nasty immediately after cutting but quickly perks up so you don't notice the cut leaves.  Pretty much…"

"That's pretty much my thinking, but I am seeing them more and more. Mostly at expensive new builds. Mostly people with very limited gardening experience wanting an immediate finished product. "
