Extra pair of hands?

I am a student studying for an MA in Landscape Architecture at the University of Greenwich and was introduced to Landscape Juice through the BALI stand at this year's Chelsea Flower Show.  I'm looking for some part time work between now and mid-September to help develop my knowledge of plants, hard materials and construction.  I am not fussy about what I do, and I come very cheap!  I can offer:

* An extra pair of (large) hands: I'm 6'4'' and from a farming background!

* Full, clean driving license and estate car with large boot

* A good basic knowledge of planting, hard materials and construction

* Very good drawing and design skills if called upon

* Plenty of enthusiasm as I aim to forge a new career in landscape design

* Good experience of the working world - both practical on family farm and through 10 years environmental planning for public and private sectors

I live in north east London/South Essex area.  If anyone knows of any opportunities please do comment back or email me at edslandscape@hotmail.co.uk.  I've also set up a blog: edslandscape.wordpress.com.

Thanks,

Ed

  • Nice one Ed, glad you've put it on here (although you may get more replies if you post in general thread of forum). I may need your extra pair of hand in a couple of weeks - I'll email you nearer the time.

  • Ed came and did a days work with us last week and looks good for helping us out this Summer. At 6"2 and cheap I couldn't miss out! I'll let Ed expand but we're both pretty flexible so I'm sure he'll have scope to follow up other interesting offers.
  • Yes the aches and pains from Friday have just about worn off!  Thanks for the quick replies - working with Andy should work really well over the summer - posting on LJN worked a treat.

Thanks for your comment Steve - I'm very keen subject to workload with Andy - do you have any dates in mind or can you not be that specific yet?  Other thing to consider is that we are expecting an addition to the family on/around 28th June, so timing may not be brilliant for Hampton, depending on what you need/when.

    thanks a lot,

    Ed

Thought I'd sign up to this forum. And I hope I'm allowed to post stuff for sale on here as this will be a one off? I have for sale a tiny pro robot, it's not the new edition but it's the bigger one of the two. If anyone is interested then please…
