Garden and Landscape Designer, planting and exterior design with a background and honours degree in Interior Design. Trained at Capel Manor, London in Garden Design, Planting Design, Horticulture and Hard Landscaping. Competition winner in May 2007 resulted in the commissioning of "L'Esprit Jardin" a contemporary water garden designed for and sponsored by Grand Marnier, built for the RHS Hampton Court Show July 2007. It was awarded an RHS Silver Gilt medal and was in full use and successfully enjoyed by the public throughout the week long show. As well as designing exterior spaces for private clients and property developers – private and communal gardens - projects have also included public space design (specifically therapeutic gardens) for Thrive, a small national charity that uses gardening to change the lives of disabled people. Awarded first runner up position in Thrive’s 2008 competition to redesign their Battersea Park Therapeutic Garden led to the subsequent commission in early 2009 for the planning and design of five gardens for use by their clients at their head office in the beautiful grounds of the Geoffrey Udall Centre, Beech Hill. Currently under construction the therapeutic gardens are collectively entitled the Garden Gallery. Intuitive, creative and possessing strong spatial awareness together with the belief that successful design should fundamentally be pleasurable to experience as well as aesthetically pleasing, ultimately suiting its purpose of function and contributing to the biodiversity of the site’s locality. Working closely with clients to provide a unique solution that fulfils all aspects of the design brief, producing stylish contemporary and classic landscapes that give lasting pleasure. Based in Hertfordshire private and commercial projects are undertaken both locally, across the UK and further afield. Working in conjunction with architects, skilled landscapers, specialist contractors and quality suppliers, striving to deliver premium finishes at all times!
