Everris Achieves ‘Great Results’ for Leeds Rhinos

Ryan Golding, Head Groundsman for Leeds Rhinos Rugby and Yorkshire Carnergie, believes that Everris has helped him achieve ‘great results’ on the turf at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

To live up to its great reputation, Head Groundsman Ryan Golding has his work out in ensuring that the playing surface is good enough for the UK’s best Rugby League Rugby Union players. This is no easy task with players doing battle on a regular basis, so to help his cause Ryan started to search for the best turf solutions and products available.

“We looked around at all sorts of different products that were out there in the market, and gauged opinion from a lot of other groundsmen from different stadiums. After numerous weeks of research we came to the conclusion that the Everris products were the best around.

“The Everris products really do help us with the recovery period. The controlled release products are absolutely fantastic and we top them up with the conventionals (the quick release products), which gives us a lot of flexibility; especially with all the events that we have here,” he said.

Everris, now part of the ICL Group, fertilizer technologies deliver the optimum level of nutrient to support healthy turf. Conventional, controlled and slow-release technologies are all available to help groundsmen and greenkeepers design their own nutrition programmes and in particular Ryan reserved the most amount of praise for ProTurf.

ProTurf is a combination of controlled release fertilizer technology with compound fertilizers which allows for proper growth with no surges. The fertilizer’s uncoated portion ensures for a quick response from the turf, even in cooler growing conditions and the inclusion of Magnesium significantly enhances turf colour and health.

“One product that we do use quite often is the 20-0-7 ProTurf. It gives us a great uptake of nutrient, it gives us great colour and it gives the turf vigour. It also helps us with the density and generally provides us with all round healthy turf.”

As well as being impressed with Everris’ products, Ryan was also quick to commend the excellent customer service he receives:

“The support and advice that I receive is second to none. I would definitely recommend Everris products to other people, whether it be fertilizers, liquid feeds, or any other products that they supply,” he said.
