The nature of these sites demands the skills of someone who has:

• The passion and attitude for and delivery of, the highest possible horticultural standards (for which our client scores us on every element).
• Has an excellent understanding of amenity horticulture
• The ability to motivate and manage themselves, in a roving brief across a number of schemes.
• The skills to plan and prioritise over a weekly and monthly time horizon effectively and to deliver to tight timescales
• The ability to work outdoors, whatever the weather.
•  Nothing less than excellent communication skills as this is a remote role from our Head Office in Nottingham.

The role will:

• Involve weekly maintenance of high end, communal domestic gardens.
• Routine maintenance of shrub borders and hedges and pathways.
• Undertake twice annual lawn treatments
• Participate in ad hoc landscaping work
• Also involve maintenance of additional domestic or commercial grounds as the role expands.
• Mentor and supervise more junior team members when required, including apprentices

The successful applicant will:

• Be experienced in the delivery of garden & grounds maintenance and hold excellent communication skills.
• Hold a PA1 and PA6 Pesticide NPTC Spraying Certificate.
• Have professional horticultural qualifications to a minimum of (equivalent) NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Amenity Horticulture and/or Turf Management.
• Hold a full driving licence (ideally including B+E classifications) and must have the ability to park a commercial vehicle off road, when not in use.
• I T Literate to the extent of being able to produce emails and simple spreadsheets and be able to comfortably operate a smartphone.

The benefits will include:

• A salary of up to £20,000 per annum (dependent upon your experience and qualifications).

You will receive a total of :

• 22 days annual leave
• 8 days statutory holidays
