Hello LJN
Got some really good news to share with everybody
London Stone are building our third showroom in Essex.
The diggers are on site and work has started today!!!
We always wanted to build a showroom North East of the M25 and to actually see that dream finally becoming a reality is something that we are very excited about.
We are really hoping that this new showroom will be our best yet. We have commissioned Andrew Marson of Bespoke gardens to design the display for us and here are a few 3D images of how the new showroom will look when it’s completed.
As you can see from the drawings the showroom features six different levels. It was really important for us to have all these different levels because it gives us the opportunity to really showcase our signature range of bespoke stone products. The display will feature curved stone steps, straight steps, coping stones, bench tops and even stone balustrading made on our CNC.
The bottom area of the display will be featuring our range of sawn paving and will include an outdoor kitchen and a massive bespoke stone water feature.
.
One thing that we have really focused on is our range of British stones. We have built large steps in Buff Yorkstone, Grey Yorkstone & Portland Stone. These steps are regularly used at the entrances to peoples homes and businesses and we want to show our clients how they will look in situ.
The very top section features our range of traditional products like Indian Sandstone, tumbled sandstone and slate.
Work on the project begins today and we are opening the new showroom at the beginning of April.
I will keep everyone updated on the progress of the build and if anyone has any questions feel free to give me a shout

Hi Steve,
Looks very good. Whereabouts in Essex?
Ian
Thanks Ian and Dean
The showroom is going to be in Brentwood. Home of something called TOWIE I keep getting told
It's really nice to see London Stone doing so well Steve. Well done on your third showroom.
What I especially like (gleaned from looking at your concept images) is the way you've taken a showroom concept and turned it on its head. What better way than to create a real garden built with the products you supply and sell.
Looking forward to seeing photos of the finished garden.
best of luck with the build Steve, onwards and upwards!
Thanks Phil & Axel
I will be going down to site this morning to see the progress that has been made so far so I will post some pictures up on the thread later
Thanks Richard and Thanks Dean.
Do you know what Richard, I speak to a lot of tradesman and everyone is booked up and optomistic for 2014. I know builder who says for the first time in 5 years he has got 4 good jobs booked in. He also says that people arent quibbling with the price anymore but are eager to get started. I am also renovating my house at the moment and am finding that joiners, sparks and plumbers are all flat out. It bodes well for the coming year and if this weather stays good for a bit longer I think it could be a good year for the industry
I went down to site on Wednesday morning to check out the progress of the new showroom build. The ground workers are currently in the process of excavating all the trenches for the concrete footings. The plan is to get the outside walls built first and then once they are up we can then mark out all the inner wall and step foundations. We are planning to pour some concrete tomorrow and get the block layers on site early next week
