Etesia PHTS 46 pedestrian Mower, care tips?

Hi everyone, I'm picking up a new Etesia PHTS 46 mower on Wednesday afternoon, brand new mower but the last of the old shape, I know a few of you guys and gals use them on a daily basis and was just wondering if you had any tips for things to keep an eye on or to do to the machine to keep it going strong for years to come? in all my years in gardening this will be my first non roller mower and my first Etesia so any tips on maintenance or spares I should keep to hand would be gladly welcome.     Keep the grass box clean so as to keep the air flowing through nicely and to allow the stop indicator to function as it should!

    There are also little clips which hold the handles in the grass box (and keep the entire thing together). These occasionally fall out - they cost pennies but we always keep them in stock.

    The other tip is to get a speed up kit fitted - will cost around £50. We paid our machinery guys to fit it for us as we aren't as mechanically minded as we would like to be!

      Cheers for the tips Nick, much appreciated, I will order up a few of the clips when I pick mower up, and will talk to the guys about a speed up kit and getting them to fit it. Many thanks Mate...:-)

        Exactly! Out of the factory they are a tad slow - but will cut grass as fast as you can run with them.

        With the the speed up kits they operate at a more decent pace, but not so fast that you can't use them all day!
