Gardening dividends for the petting zoo

Here I sit in my living room, which thanks to our three house rabbits has its own furry weather system at the moment...You can see photos of two of the critters on my page... the other one is a bit shy! Our lounge is more petting zoo than tranquil oasis of calm and soft furnishings arranged around a big glowy box in the corner bathing all in a brain-rotting glow. But, we like it that way... or at least that's what we tell ourselves. Two lounge dwellers are currently in full-on turbo moult... Sometimes they look a little bit like Pigpen from the Peanuts cartoon strip - constant presence of a little cloud of fluff around the ankles. At other times tufts of fur which haven't quite detached from their little bodies sit proud all over the rabbits, giving them a be-fringed look reminiscient of 80's rockers Bon Jovi. The third bunny is trying desparately hard to catch up with her peers, but given that she's a different breed and much smaller can only manage the odd waft of fluff - still, she does a pretty convincing job of faking it - she has magnetic properties which enable her to collect a convincing amount of everyone elses furry deposits. It's fairly aggravating for the bunnies to be going through this, and to take their little, teeny, tiny minds of their dilemmas, Fereday has brought them home some freshly cut raspberry cane from a client's garden. He neatly cut the cane into 12 inch twigs and tied the bunch together with garden twine in a little bow. Bless. It looks like a rustic ornament instead of a bundle of rabbit chew sticks, but there you are... Fereday dotes on his little charges... particularly the little magnet one... He's also collecting up some of the little clouds... these will be going off to another client's garden where it will be liberally distributed for the benefit of the birds or be distributed around our garden (you can recognise birds from our neck of the woods, they're all sporting gorgeous little angora jumpers and hats). There's a nice little circle going on there. Very pleasing... and certainly writing this was much better than watching the repeat of Dr Who which Fereday is boggling at....
