I certainly did get involved with the Yorkshire Garden, Chelsea 2003. I spent 3 or 4 days there. I contributed to the grounds works and I personally built the dry stone work at the termination of the stream incorporating the culvert for the return flow. The builders from the Yorkshire Dales seemed to be extremely put out that I was on the team. They waited to see if I could actually cut the mustard, which Julian unreservedly confirmed that I did, then threatened to up sticks if I were not persuaded to retire from the build. Julian offered his heart felt apologies
and referred to the Dales builders as being unreasonably stubborn. He paid me for the whole week. I would not claim to have contributed if I had not done so in a meaningful manner. It was a pleasure to have been one of the team and proved an interesting exorcize in diplomatic restrain concerning those builders. I am sure Julian can confirm all this soap! I missed seeing you there though I seem to remember that you came later in the project. Hope this sets things straight and that you are keeping well.
