It's not great here either. I haven't seen a live one for ages. There was a hedgehog hospital (I think it was by Church Stretton) and they were looking for people to home them! I'm going to see if I can find them on the internet!
You are in a beautiful part of the world, I love Pembrokeshire.
I wish we had toads/frogs!! Hedgehogs are good to eat them too. I have thought about getting an injured one from a rescue centre as they need fenced gardens which ours is (unfortunately!).
Hi Sian, I've got round it by avoiding those plants they like to eat! No slug damage in our garden at all :)
I find the barrier methods are best, I don't use slug pellets, I worry too much about the birds eating the dead slugs!
