Driveway weedkiller recommendations

Hi all, does anyone have advice (product recommendations) on how to keep large parking areas (gravel and or block paving areas) free of weeds without spending a small fortune on 'path clear' and suchlike?Thank you in advance

As others have said price per job and hourly rate in your head. You have to bear in mind equipment loading, travelling and equipment servicing which clients don't see.
£25 is not unreasonable."

Tell the customer it will be X amount per visit.
In you head charge £30ph or £35/£40 whatever it is worth and work out how long it will take you.

"How do you do price work for a weekly maintenance job though? Part of how these bigger clients justify knocking me down a bit is that they are 52 weeks a year, lawn jobs are only march - October really. "

Hello Phil - sorry to take so long to reply. Was hurtling towards the finish line on my Craven College RHS course - Horticulture, Level 2. Thanks for your good wishes; the exam was quite reasonable though I had a kind of stage-fright on one of the papers - very aggravating. The course was full of interest though, and I would recommend it for anyone changing to a horticultural career. There were some highly entertaining parts, like the chance to be a steward at Harrogate Flower Show, tours of private gardens known to the tutors and so on. It was an alternative to doing the course online, and I'm so pleased I did it at a College instead, because I also got to meet some very enthusiastic and original gardeners. We'll be keeping in touch too, which is great. Actually, it's the same feeling as this webiste - a lot of people with a common enthusiasm who want to share their experience so generously with others.
