Which Weedkiller

Attached are photos of a car park and service yard I am quoting on to carry out some repairs, but first I have got to get rid of the moss, lichen & vegetation growth.

Could you recommend what treatment I need in regards weed killers, or is there anyone who could help in the Leicester area, (Market Harborough)

  • I would just use roundup.

Strip down the weeds first, then I'd use Gallup 360

    Gylphosate

Roundup will treat the weeds, but not the moss or algae, I would suggest using an indicator spray when you treat it or you may forget where you have already sprayed.
If you are stuck or anxious about doing it then let me know and I will come over one evening.
  • I use Gallup Amenity for hard surface spraying and have always used plain old Jeyes to kill moss.  Nothing else does the job quite like it.

    Hi Richard,

As mentioned the weeds need cutting or strimming right down then the re-growth spot sprayed with an amenity approved glyphosate. Glyfos Gold Eco

The moss needs scraping or brushing up as much as possible then spraying with suitable (legal) product: Algoclear will give reliable results. These are all professional products so will need a qualified operator

  • Kasper will do a better job on willowherb than glyphosphate

    • Are you talking about Kasper Schmeichel, the Leicester goalie...............  unfortunately, he's a bit busy at the moment letting goals in:)
