Which concrete breaker to buy?

I think that the time has come to buy a decent breaker, mainly for breaking up concrete in front and back gardens. Wondering what others would recommend. I am bit confused about which size machine I need to get, was thinking probably something like the Kango/Milwaukee 900S 11 kg machine, such as this http://www.screwfix.com/p/kango-900s-11kg-demolition-hammer-sds-max-240v/26779?cm_mmc=GoogleBase-_-Datafeed-_-Tools-_-Kango%20900S%2011kg%20Demolition%20Hammer%20%26%20SDS%20Max%20240V.

Would I need to go up to a 16kg machine?

Any advice?

Was also considering whether to invest in a Camon 2000 rotovator and/or a wacker plate, but think that I might get more use out of a breaker right now.

  • Just seen this 13kg reconditioned Dewalt breaker - looks like a good deal to me.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DEWALT-D25941K-240-VOLT-LINE-DEMOLITION-H...

  • Hi Jeremy i have an erbauer 18kg breaker which ive been using for about a year and a half now, only cost £170. I know this model is only really meant for domestic use but Ive  found its more than powerful enough for braking up most types of concrete. We mainly use it for removing old fence posts and patios, so far it has been very effective and completeley reliable. http://www.screwfix.com/p/erbauer-era177drh-18kg-demolition-hammer-...

The model your looking at is a far better make and would probably last a lot longer but for £850 you would really need to be using it very often to justify that price in my opinion.
