Battery mowers still have an engine :)
Not fussed about collector bag/box. They all work fairly well if the garden is kept up to date.
Auto choke !!! Assume they are all auto choke now but as I have been using the same make & model mower with auto choke for many years I can not be certain about other makes and models.
Oh yes, single lever height adjustment an absolute must.
I've recently bought a billy goat with a Briggs engine (was too tight to pay the extra for the Honda I thought £1100 was enough for collecting leaves and hedge cuttings!)
Point being it took me about ten cold starts to remember to press the fuel bulb as all my other 4 stroke stuff has Honda engines
Don't know the ins and outs of many engine options and like you I loved the performance and sound of the Honda.. But I must say the B & S auto choke engine on my Viking 655 mowers never miss a beat. Will never sound like the Honda though.
