A camera should be in every landscaper's tool box, IMO:)
I have a Canon G10.
Not too large to carry about but takes an excellent photo. Many professional photographers use them.
There's now a G16 in the Canon stable.
Having said that Gary ....many professional journalists just use an iPhone. Have you considered adding a lens to an iPhone or downloading specialist software app?
Chris, didn't see a reply, I would say Aviary. Some great styles and colour correction you can get with that app.

'Man Maths' works doesn't it ;) ?
I use a pentax adventure proof. I'm not entirely sure what the exact model is I think it's a WG-2. It's waterproof/drop proof etc. etc. Drop proof (from standing on the ground). Cost me about £125 last year so will probably be less. Unfortunatly mine doesn't have any orange on it.
My cousin who is into photography recommends a canon 100D
By far the best nikon site (if you go down that route) is bythom.com.
The control I can have over shots compared with my previous Nikon D70s is amazing! ( and the D70s was a great camera too!)
