Website widgets

Anyone got any widgets on their websites?

I've just come across an Accuweather one which initially I thought might be good one to have for people to quickly check the weather via our website.  But as it only shows the forecast next couple of days, I wasn't sure if it would then encourage last minute enquires if it was a good forecast and cancellations if it was bad!

Not everyone is PC savvy with the various weather forecast websites so I thought it might offer a "safe" option for those people.  Also, not everyone checks the weather as frequently as we do!

I don’t think it will do much harm or good either way if I’m honest.
I seem to recall seeing a weather thing on a couple of fairly local gardeners websites though.
I’m not sure ther is any such thing as an unsafe weather website though!

I have a widget that shows my reviews from Freeindex. Personally I wouldn't want any clutter than wasn't relevant to my business.

I have always thought a weather widget in jobbers front page would be very useful

  • Personally I just check the BBC weathersite for my area. I find it's the most accurate over 24 to 48 hours. Any longer forecasts are always hit and miss wherever sourced.
