Using Jobber

I'm sure theres a previous thread on Jobber, but since it's a programme thats always being upgraded, I thought I'd start a new, up to date thread.

Basically, I'm looking to see if paying the seemingly high fees for Jobber is worth it. I currently use Invoice-to-go as my invoicing software. I know Jobber does an awful lot more, but is it worth all the extra cost? I've read through all their website, but from you guys, how can it really help me in maintenance?

    We use Jobber mostly for its scheduling. It works for us but we run multiple teams.

    I'm a user/fan, love it, I have looked at the alternatives - there are quite a few other companies now however I still wouldn't switch.  Jobber works, the support is fantastic, its always getting better / tweaked / new things added. For me at least it's more than worth it.

      I'm with Robbie on this. Jobber is by far the best cloud based solution I've seen in this industry other than bespoke solutions. I've trialed it and would lover to swap over when we can.

      The more services and/or teams and/or sites you run the bigger the gain can be. However, in a 'one person doing one job a day' type of scenario it may be an overkill.

      Assuming I know Robbie's type of business profile in that he is likely offering many services to a varying selection of clients all with different pricing strategies it must be a god-send as well as helping portray a professional image.

    I also know with Jobber that we are only scratching the surface in what it offers, especially invoicing. It syncs with quick books which we don't use (went down the sage route years ago!). We are looking to change to QB but it would require a significant amount of data entry to switch and something we haven't time to do at the moment.

    What we do love is the simplicity of Jobber. We have along with the schedules, site plans loaded so operatives can see what is required on some sites where we maintain communal grounds.

    All client data is entered including contact numbers and gate codes - it saves so much time for us and stops information from being written on scraps of paper. (Everything is password protected too, in terms of logging on to jobber and the iPads we access it from.

      I recently added the quick books integration, however I'm finding quickbooks hard going (nothing to do with jobber) and am really starting to appreciate just how good the support with jobber is as quickbooks help just isn't anywhere near as good as jobber...

        That is exactly why we have not gone forward with Jobber.

        Intuit (QB producers) removed the integration software between Jobber and QB Desktop Editions,  effectively trying to force businesses to their Online QB product which is fair from perfect, expesnive and does not have all the features of the Desktop version in use over the world.

        The only integration Intuit now provides to it's 3rd party product suppliers (like Jobber) is to the QB Online version.

        For us, QB trumps Jobber in our business (ie it is currently more important - that is no slur on Jobber)

      Pick the day I want the job to start, left click / create new job.

      The tell jobber how often you want to visit, when to invoice ect.

      3314733405?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024Something I discovered to my cost was it is very important to assign a crew (even if you are the only user!) As the job will not appear in the map view for any given day. 

      If you have done work for the client in the past jobber remembers what they paid and will ask you do you want to charge it again. 

      When you add a new service to jobber it will ask do you want to add it to "Services and products" You only need to do this once then jobber saves it.

      The is a ton of ways you can tell jobber you want to create a job, however once you start to use jobber - i.e. sending quotes via jobber

      You send a client a quote, you then convert that quote into a job - Convert to job (if the client accepts) and it will remember what you quoted ect so you don't need double entry, this is probably the method I would use the most.
