If the sub-base was suitable for artificial turf, it won't be suitable for natural turf
if the ground is really boggy then best to swap your sub base for straight sharp sand and lay your turf on that
consider adding lime before your subbase as it will help break fdown the clay
If it's really boggy you may also want to consider a soak-away.
