  Got to go with a good wide brimmed hat for most of my work in the summer sun. When mowing or other tasks that require ear defenders I use a standard baseball cap. I can normally pick one us from free from my machinery dealer when purchasing new equipment. I normally combine this with having the collar up on my polo shirt and good quality sun cream. I like the spray on types as they are easy to apply a couple of times a day. I'm currently using Bolle tinted safety glasses with uv protection for my sunglasses. comfortable for all day use and only 6 quid so not really an issue if they break.

      Lots of tool shops sell them or similar. I've got 3 pairs around the place.

          They look just like this but only £6 from my local timber merchant, mine have the little uv sticker on them

              No I try to use the local independant suppliers. Avrils fencing for most of my timber and Nailsea patio supplies for you guessed it, paving supplies.

            Very Very light and look "good" for safety specs.

            Personally, I try to wear a lightweight, wide brimmed hat (from Craighoppers) and do similar with polo shirts. Some of the guys use baseball type hats for ease of using ear defenders & glasses.

  I wear a boonie hat, the sides clip up for ear defender use. They do soak up sweat quite well too :-)

  Best ones I have found are from decathlon, they handle being washed regularly without falling to bits. And have uv protection as a bonus.
