If you start all of this with them they'll just get someone else to do it. It's a minor task that really needs a little common sense.
I do the car parks on 8 sites in Colchester when it snows.
The client already states they accept no responsibility for any damages in any communal area. Personally if you don't feel comfortable doing it don't! Even my commercial client hasn't asked for a RA on this matter.
In fact would you try to claim damages against the council when its snowy and icy, because they have done all they can, but you still go out and lose control and crash?
I doubt someone will try and claim damages if you have removed snow and gritted as generally the issue will have been removed. If these customers are domestics then I would seriously not be worried about this.
