Overshoes

Often find myself going through customers homes to get to back gardens - getting fed up with hopping about trying to put boots on and off all the time !  Can anyone recommend some overshoes to slip on and off easy ? Need some for my delicate size 11's, I bought some the other day but they must have been designed for micro footed gardeners, had to take them back. TIA

  • Why not pop along to your local swimming pool. All around here have disposable "shoes" in the changing rooms for people to wear.  Just grab a few handfuls and bin after use?

Thanks Graeme, think these were the types I tried, little blue diddy things ? But not been to a swimming pool for years

Not sure about size, but Screwfix used to do them and I'm sure most trade cleaning supplies shops stock them....

    or these : http://www.amazon.co.uk/ColorDrip-Zipper-Overshoe-Shoes-Cover/dp/B0...

Thanks Gary, screwfix, were the ones that went back, tiny tiny things, no use at all :(  But have given me an idea - will try the local decorator supply shop also.  Sadly think those amazon ones don't have great reviews and a bit small, even the XXL ! Just remembered years ago worked I worked in a clean room from time to time, they had cardboard soled plastic covered overshoes... will carry on looking

  • I saw some big fluffy ones in a catalogue somewhere but I can't remember which one... not paper, fluffy lovely ones like polar bear feet! I'd wear em at home!
Maybe the Engelbert Strauss catalogue... maybe Wickes or Screwfix...?

  • We use blue ones from a janitorial supply company, they fit my even more delicate size 12's just fine.

  • Bought some from ebay recently, fit my size 11's just fine.

Search for Delta Plus Venitex SURCHPO on your favourite auction site.

  • IKEA OMSORG shoehorn Sure grip. Not quite the answer to your problem, but I always have a couple of these in the van so that it is no hassle when offered a cuppa. I tend to wear safety shoes rather than boots and rarely untie them. 75p!
