New website

Hi all

I've finally got the first version of my website together and would appreciate any comments.

http://www.durhamgardener.co.uk

I'm planning on changing the colour scheme a bit but am happy with the content.

And I have realized the form isn't working yet!

thanks

Justin

  • for some odd reason i cant get your website to load on my laptop ?

  • The website isn't loading up- i guess you're doing some work on it/ editing. Are you doing your own xhtml or are you using a web editor? I used www.basekit .com for mine, i chose a template, then the rest was simple drag and click-very easy to use and costs £6 a month for editing and hosting. you can have a click on my link http://www.wkla.co.uk/ to see what you get. You also get a free 14 day trial so you can try it ,then upgrade if you want to continue. I am not affiliated with basekit, nor do i earn any commission, this is purely a recommendation.

also, it is important to find out where your 'viewers' are coming from, ie, from google searches, geographical locations or from this forum..., this site is great and totally free as well.http://www.footprintlive.com/  . I am able to see where my visitors are from, if they are referred from google searches, or from links in other websites- i have had loads of visitors from this website and can also see where in the country they are from.It also lets you know which pages were viewed and the time spent viewing them.

The last add on you could use is a visitor counter, these are generally free and will let you know obviously how many people have checked out your homepage.

good luck with the site, i look forward to viewing it soon.
