Just bought a Stihl FS94 strimmer.......... its a pro-grade new model thats just come out this year. Largest of the ordinary 2 stroke strimmes rather than the 4-mix, which makes it lighter. Seems very light compared to my FS130...... hasn't got the power of the FS130 but its great for the lighter strimming jobs in domestic gardens etc. Vibration seems minimal. Picked it up for £309.
Echo SRM Pro series, one lowest, low end Pro U handled strimmers (@ 2.8).
We have a SRM335U permantely metal bladed...for those hard to cut jobs :-)
I have the vibes chart for Stihl & Echo somewhere that I'll post up later when in the office.
Latest Stihl Vibe Chart I have...
Didn't realise the gap between roll hoop and bull horn.
Huge difference. Also anything 'domestic' no matter how cheap is going to be hi vibe as the expectation is only for infrequent use.
Note this article & date (I'm sure its on LJN or LJ but can't find it :-( )

Stihl FSA 85 cordless strimmer, works very well for modest brushcutting needs, turn handle round and it edges lawns. 2 x batteries advisable with fast charger. Vibrations - not even noticeable.
Light and quiet.

Also seems relevant BUT you need to pay Which? a min of £1 to read it ;-) Top five strimmers...
Can't "wait" to see what the models are..........
Never met a strimmer yet that didn't have bad bump head days.
