      Remind be re bowling greens!! I'm not doing any if that answers your question. I do vagely remember something re greens but can't think.

  I got mine when I had to get some printing done. I used a professional CD (it was a while ago!) of clip-art images to chooses from and the printer tweaked it then added a nice strong font for the text. That was used from letterhead, to uniform to van sign writing...

   -try your web designer and show him other styles and logos you like as a guide....

    I don't know on costs really as mine is part of a package.
    I tried s couple of online make you own logo things and my efforts were rubbish:-)

  Have a look at people per hour.. mines not the best in the world but I'm happy with it and it only cost me £6... You give one of the designers ideas of what you want and if you're not happy with what they come up with you don't pay..

  and went through several changes before the final version

  There are people who do free logo's and some who charge very little, but to get an idea of the range of styles that can be achieved have a look at this page at Envato

  you can specify your price range and location if you wish
