Should be fine as an early season general purpose weed control. Later on we'd use Holster/Crossbar or Interfix/Greenor or Mogul.
Talk to progreen or agrigem.
Interesting, I get excellent results with Longbow.
Just a quick question - you have been using this product since last season - when have you been applying it? (ie what months?)
do not forget it has been very dry up to this week and things have not been growing very good so weed killer will take longer to work
Hi Oliver,
April was incredibly dry & cool with many plants shutting down and not taking in the weed killer. Longbow in particular has a very high application & water rate. It is also not the strongest on tough weeds like speedwell & trefoils. Perhaps look at a more modern, benzoic acid product such as Mogul which will work out at a similar cost per m2 with a low dose rate of 20ml per 2L of water to cover 100m2 and deliver better results.
Hi, I was wondering if you had any upturn in your results using the Longbow weed killer? Am looking for a new selective weedkiller and that product is very reasonably priced but no point if it's not much good. Any other people use this product?
Some of the selective weedkillers are so very expensive. I don't do lawn treatment as such, would just like to have a resonable selective weedkiller with me so I can keep the lawns fairly weed free without needing to be perfect. It's not something I will be charging for so I want to keep the costs reasonably low for myself.
Thrust is quite good on a lot of lawn weeds -- not too pricey either -- agrigem
Yes I did get better results when I went over re measuring my area and re working out the amount of required chemical, thanks
