that's about right but I would not roll it maybe get some sandy topsoil to sprinkle over the seed and try and get seed to match the rest of the lawn
Ideally dead areas should be raked out and foliage removed as glyphosate can linger on the leaves for a while afterwards. Grade A job would be scarify hard and lightly overseed the entire lawn with more on the dead patches as its often difficult to match grass cultivars so it all blends, but otherwise you could just do the patches. I was told or I might have read it here....a good seed bed should be firm enough to ride a bicycle on but soft enough to leave a shallow imprint ! Make sure seed has good contact with the soil - fine watering should do that.
