Collier take in both green and general waste and also sell topsoil and compost. they are not far from the SITA (surrey) Charlton Lane waste transfer which is going to close for redevelopment in September. Collier are also cheaper than SITA.
As usual at these sites you need to have a hard hat and HiVis as soon as you step out of the van.

As of 1/1/15 ALL vehicles must use site weighbridge and intercom system and be weighed in and out - all payments are by weight - there is no 'load rate' anymore. Minimum charge 1/2 ton.
All new users of site must call at reception before driving onto the weighbridge.
Prices have also seen an increase.
'Green waste reception area' has moved even further down, right to the the very bottom of the site by the machinery shed. Caution - drive with caution as the track is getting very uneven in places.
Absolutely strictly no turf, topsoil, hardcore or tree stumps to be taken into the site.
Offenders will be reloaded - on this point they are serious, I have seen it happen.

Composting site is right down the bottom end of the farm down the concrete roadway - first time visitors are advised to call at reception first as they will want waste carriers licence for their records. Usual health and safety rules apply on site.
NOTE - Any vehicle over 7.5 ton ie - HGV'S have to enter the site from the new Crowland bypass direction as there is a 7.5 weight limit to the left of the site (through Peak Hill and Cowbit villages)
Also supply green waste compost, topsoil improver, potting on compost, anemity and decorative barks in bulk bags or loose loads (minimum 1m3).

There's a waste transfer station run by Sita on behalf of Kirklees MDC. It's at Thornhill, on the edge of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. I can't find the full postcode but suspect it is WF13. Charge is by weight, £35 + VAT per tonne pro rata, minimum £7.00 + VAT (£8.40) up to and including 200Kg. I've found the staff very helpful. Payment is by card only, no cash or cheques.

As you enter the site you turn left for commercial, right for household. The first time you turn up you must have your waste carrier registration certificate with you.
