Honda HRH Mulch plug

Hello, I think I've just about decided on getting the Honda HRH, the only thing is the lack of mulching. It seems like you can get a plug but has anyone used one on this model before? I appreciate it won't be as good as a dedicated mulcher. But I'll only use it if I get any grounds maintenance work or at home. I was torn between the Etesia duo cut 53 but after many, many hours thinking about it I'm planning on playing it safe with the Honda. The Etesia seems to be great in the wet, but I live on the Isle of Wight and it's pretty good weather down here, and I was keen to have a quick mower to cut down my mowing times. Thanks for reading - Sam

I have the duo cut and also we run our hondas as mulches, the duo cut does a better mulch but the Honda is also good but not quite as good.
    • Thanks, that's pretty helpful and I thought might be the case. I'm a super small time gardener so it's a big investment for me. Best wishes Sam

  • I have a mulcher plug on a Mountfield mower it works OK but it needs to be dry and it won't handle long grass.  What i find is cut it, let it dry, then lift the mower a bit higher and run over it again.  It works but if you have a lot to do its not ideal.
