  • Those stripes look good enough from here for general mowing.
When you say "a" roller do you mean a Etesia roller made for the job or something that you have stuck on the back?

Hi Gordon, hope your good mate, Etesia don't do a roller roller attachment for the old style Pro 46s etc, the roller attachment they make only fits the new Etesia models, this is just a roller system I quickly threw together to see if it would work and it seems to, I may try to refine the design and see where it takes me...

      Cheers Harry
      • Hi Harry
Yes I am good thank you mate.
With both of us being avid Viking 655 roller mower users how do you rate the Etesia with a roller.. Realising what you are using is a sort of a fun prototype and Etesia official attachment isn't as it should be.
What I am trying to say is the Etesia professional build quality worth investing in over and above a Viking if the roller can be made to work, in your opinion.

In my opinion you cannot beat a 655VR for a 21" roller mower, I will not buy anything else, speed is great, stripe is sharp and collection especially in the wet is unbeatable and it's not to heavy to lug about all day long. But if you are after a smaller roller mower, and want versatility, if Etesia can sort out the roller system they have then I would pick an Etesia over the Viking, but only on a smaller cut mower.
        • Not in my opinion. I have a Pro 46 and  a Viking 655 and the viking is far more reliable (so far)

    Looks great!

Playing about at Saltex last year I thought the Etesia roller would get in my way when walking behind it ...no restrictions to your normal walk?

No restrictions at all with my roller Richard, that was one of the things which would bug me, so made sure it wouldn't get in my way.. :-)
