Blakedown Landscapes Operations Limited is a leading hard and soft landscaping contractor delivering schemes throughout the UK.   The Company’s principal activities include soft landscaping, hard landscaping & groundworks, natural and synthetic sports pitches, and playgrounds.  They are currently seeking to recruit a number of Contracts Managers (or Senior Contracts Managers depending upon experience) to their team to oversee commercial landscaping projects from our 4 regional offices (Leeds, Tamworth, Bristol, & Weybridge).

The ideal candidate will currently be employed in a similar role or seeking to take their next step into contracts management. Responsibilities will include full operational and financial control of commercial landscaping contracts as follows:

• Installation of projects to strict deadlines and budgets
• Liaison with clients, main contractors and landscape architects
• Implementation and management of health & safety and quality procedures
• Resourcing and supervision of subcontractors
• Resourcing and procurement of materials
• Identification and valuing of variations and additional works
• Compilation of interim applications and final accounts

Although based from a regional office the role will include a considerable amount of travel in order to successfully manage multiple projects. The successful candidate should therefore possess a flexible, methodical and conscientious approach.  Excellent communication skills, sound knowledge of excel and experience in delivering significant landscape construction projects valued up to £1m are essential.  Experience in hard landscaping and groundworks along with site engineering ability would be a significant advantage.

The successful candidate should hold a relevant horticultural, landscape or construction qualification and possess a current CSCS card and SMSTS certificate. A full driving license is essential.

Candidates with predominantly grounds maintenance experience need not apply.
